The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Tuesday's Best NBA Bet

Charlotte Bobcats at Sacramento Kings (-1, 192.5)

Paul Silas is no Larry Brown – he’s actually better. The veteran NBA coach has led a turnaround that has helped the Bobcats increase their grip on the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference since he took over about a month ago.

When Silas took over just before Christmas, the team was 9-19 and among the worst in the league offensively and at taking care of the ball. Since then the Bobcats have gone 8-6 and have improved dramatically in the scoring department.

The team is averaging nearly six more points per 100 possessions under Silas. The reason is that players have the green light to take the first open shot and are not restricted to run a set play every time down the floor. As a result, the team has turned the ball over nine times or fewer in four of the team’s past seven games.

And you think the Kings are going to slow them down? Sacramento played Monday night in Portland and now must try to lock down the surging Bobcats. Good luck – Sacramento ranks 22nd in opponent points allowed (103) and 26th in opponent field goal percentage (47.3).

“We’ve got shooters,” Silas said. “We’ve got defenders. We’ve got shot blockers. We’ve got all the ingredients that you need. The guys just have to get out and play and believe in themselves and believe that I believe in them. I’ve found that if you have a confident player, it’s unbelievable what he can do.”

Pick: Charlotte

Tuesday's Best NCAAB Bet

Kansas Jayhawks at Colorado Buffaloes (8, N/A)

The Jayhawks have no problem beating the Buffaloes – but it’s usually not easy. Kansas is 10-0 in its past 10 meetings with Colorado, but is just 4-6 ATS over that span and a mere 1-5 ATS since 2008.

It doesn’t help Kansas that this instalment of the Buffaloes is one best in recent memory. Led by stud guard Alec Burks and his 19.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, the team is amassing a solid NCAA Tournament resume thanks to a phenomenal 10-0 home record.

"I think we are really starting to get a feel for each other on the floor," Buffalo coach Tad Boyle said. "We're executing at a pretty high level offensively right now, we're shooting the ball well and we're sharing the ball. I think offensively we've made some great strides."

The team will have to keep making strides to upset the Jayhawks. Kansas is 4-0 on the road this year, including wins over Baylor, Iowa State, Cal and an overtime victory at Michigan. However the team is just 2-2 ATS in those games and is coming off an 11-point home loss to Texas, the team’s first setback this season.

"It's a big game, but it's just one game," Kansas coach Bill Self said of the loss to Texas. "In the second half, (Texas was) terrific. Of course, we helped them be terrific. We give up 51 points in our building in a half. They deserve the outcome that they got today. We've got to rebound ... and hopefully not let one become two."

ICE PICKS

Tuesday's Best NHL Bets

Anaheim Ducks at Columbus Blue Jackets (-125, 5.5)

The Ducks are alive and quacking for a playoff berth thanks to an elite power play.

Anaheim is converting 23.7 percent of its man advantages, notching 11 power-play goals over its past 10 games, including a 2-1 win over the Senators where it failed to draw a penalty. Both Corey Perry and Teemu Selanne have each scored nine times on the man advantages and the Ducks have a whopping eight players with at least two power-play tallies.

As a result of the team’s tear on the power play, the squad is 7-3 over its past 10 and among a handful of teams vying for the No. 4 seed.

"We're trying to find that consistency," Ducks center Saku Koivu said. "Obviously if you want to be successful and do it all the time, you can't have games or periods that you don't do the things that you're supposed to do. I think that's been one thing that we're not happy about our game, that inconsistency. But you can look around the league and there are only a couple of teams that really have done that. It's not easy to do."

However, the team’s power play should be consistent against Columbus – consistently dangerous. The Blue Jackets are a miserable 23rd in the league on the penalty killing, shutting down a mere 79.7 percent of their opponent’s chances.

Pick: Anaheim

Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks (-185, 5.5)

The Minnesota Wild simply aren’t good skaters. The team even admitted as much following a recent 4-3 loss to the Sharks.

"You can play fast with your legs or you can play fast with your mind," Minnesota coach Todd Richards said after the San Jose loss. "At times they caught us from behind and stripped pucks from us, but that's what they do. We weren't very crisp, and we weren't handling the puck well, and it caused trouble with their pressure and us not breaking out of our own end."

The team prefers to play a plodding, control style and as a result has drawn just 536 minutes in penalties while committing 540 minutes worth. Those are both among the bottom seven in the league.

Meanwhile Chicago plays at a haphazard pace and loves to rush up the ice, averaging 3.15 goals per game, the fifth-most in the league. In a 4-1 loss to Philadelphia, the team failed to generate much offensive momentum and has focused on puck movement and creativity this week in practice.

“In more ways than one, we were too easy to defend,” Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews said. “We weren’t on the same page with each other and that made it harder to be predictable, especially in the offensive zone when it’s time to capitalize on some of our chances.”

They will make the most of those chances against Minnesota.

Pick: Chicago

Bettor's best friend (BBF): Tuesday's wagering tips

Line to keep an eye on

Toronto Maple Leafs at Tampa Bay Lightning – The Leafs recalled goaltender James Reimer on Sunday, who was sent down last week despite strong play between the pipes. Jean-Sebastien Giguere got the start in Monday night’s contest, so Reimer may get a chance to pick up where he left off against Tampa on Tuesday. The total is currently set at six goals, but Reimer’s presence could possibly swing that by half a goal.

Who’s hot

NBA: The over is 8-2 in the Los Angeles Clippers’ last 10 games as an underdog.

NHL: The Anaheim Ducks are 5-1 in their last six against teams with losing records.

NCAAB: The Connecticut Huskies are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games against teams with a winning record.

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos has seven goals and three assists in his last six games.

Who’s not

NBA: The Dallas Mavericks are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games overall.

NHL: The Ottawa Senators are 1-7 in their last eight games against the Eastern Conference.

NCAAB: The Ohio State Buckeyes are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against teams with a winning record.

NHL: Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane has gone five straight games without a goal.

Key stat

7 – The number of rookies that were in the lineup for the New York Rangers’ game against the Washington Capitals on Monday. New York’s injury report is long enough to create another separate team, yet the Broadway Blueshirts remain in a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked

Antoine Vermette, Columbus Blue Jackets – Vermette is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks with an illness. While he is well behind last season’s pace with just 27 points in 48 games, Vermette is riding a four-game point streak and is a strong two-way player. His tough defensive play would be sorely missed against a very physical Ducks squad.

Game of the day

No. 12 Purdue at No. 1 Ohio State (-8, 134.5)

Notable quotable

"I don't think the Lakers will be good for much longer. You can keep a car running for a long time by changing the tires, etc. But you can't change a player's tires." – Former Los Angeles Lakers player and general manager Jerry West, on how the Lakers’ age is affecting their defense and will soon catch up with them.

Tips and notes

The Dallas Mavericks got the go-ahead from the NBA to trade center Alexis Ajinca to the Toronto Raptors. The move opened up a roster spot and Dallas promptly signed Peja Stojakovic. The 33-year-old forward is shooting 48.4 percent from behind the 3-point line this season, but he is not expected to join the team for Tuesday’s game against Los Angeles. While losing Ajinca shouldn’t be too damaging the the high-flying Blake Griffin is coming to town. There could be a lot of fouls called against Dallas big men and missing another body could lead to foul trouble for the likes of Dirk Nowitzki.

Buffalo Sabres forward Drew Stafford skated Monday to test out his ailing groin. Stafford has missed three straight games, but head coach Lindy Ruff said there’s a chance he could play in Tuesday’s game against Ottawa. Buffalo is on an 8-3-1 stretch, but recently lost forwards Tim Connolly and Patrick Kaleta, while leading scorer Derek Roy is out for the season. Stafford has 15 goals and 23 points in 30 games this season.

Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Eric Gordon did not travel with the team to Dallas for Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks. Gordon suffered a sprained right wrist in Saturday’s win over Golden State. He stayed in Los Angeles for further evaluation and treatment but is listed as a game-time decision. Gordon is the Clippers’ leading scorer at 24.1 points per game and his absence would put even more pressure on Blake Griffin.
